Technology Transforming Higher Education

Coppin State University welcomes Chris Dede, Ph.D., as the keynote speaker for the 3rd annual Information Technology in Teaching and Learning Conference on May 23rd, 2007. Dr. Dede is the Timothy E. Wirth Professor of Learning Technologies at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education. In the afternoon, Michael Zastrocky, Ed.D., Vice President and Research Director at Gartner Research, will talk about the "Impact of Information Technology on Teaching and Learning." Dr. Zastrocky is Managing Vice President and Research Director for Academic Strategies at Gartner Inc, the world’s largest information technology research and advisory services company.

Coppin faculty will present research findings on their use of technology to enhance the teaching and learning process. In addition, several vendors will be demonstrating new technologies of interest to the higher education community.
